We’re delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new Old Film Night at Weoley Hill Village Hall, starting on Saturday, 25 April 2026.

The first film will be the classic 1942 Sherlock Holmes mystery: Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon

Join us for an evening of nostalgic entertainment as we step back in time with Basil Rathbone’s iconic portrayal of the world’s greatest detective. Expect plenty of intrigue, clever twists, and that wonderful golden-age Hollywood atmosphere.

Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 8:00 PM
Venue: Weoley Hill Village Hall
This is a relaxed “pay as you feel” event. Any profits from the evening will be donated to a local charity.

You are welcome to bring your own comfy chair if you’d like, or simply use one of the hall’s chairs.

Whether you’re a fan of classic detective stories, enjoy vintage cinema, or just fancy a lovely evening out in the village, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy some timeless filmmaking with friends and neighbours.
