The Birmingham Book Club

The Birmingham Book Club We're a friendly book club based in Birmingham, UK. Our monthly book discussion is at The Victoria. We also have a range of social events.

New members are always welcome! Check out our page on Heylo for more information. The discussion is often lively, but never gets personal. All views and opinions are respected. We love to socialise and here's plenty of time to get to know the rest of the group before, during and after the meeting. As well as our book discussions, we have occasional theatre nights and social events. Suggestions for

nights out are always welcome. Anyone who loves reading books and talking about them should join us. Books are always chosen by a democratic vote. This often leads us to some surprising places, but everyone finds it rewarding to read books that they might not have otherwise picked up. Although there is a wide variety, we mostly read fiction of a middle- to highbrow quality. You can find a list of books we've read and more information about our meetings on our Meetup page. There is no charge for our meetings.
