We had a lovely relaxing afternoon yesterday with Bev Short , her interpretation of a midsummer nights dream , was a dream , with beautiful designs flowers and colours . Lots of fun and laughter

We had a very successful AGM followed by Debbie , one of our
Members doing a demonstration and interesting talk on her life as a flower arranger for the national trust in a stately home .
Her day would start very early , usually with just a few flowers that they had been given and had to work very fast , sometimes it was just a vase suitable for the Edwardian or Tudor room , where she just used a few stems and in her words sunk it and dunked it , and other times she was doing big pedestals. Or side table arrangements . It was also very interesting to see she could arrange flowers from the back so we could see the front , very clever lady .

A very ,unexpected late arrival , due to traffic ,did not phase a professional like Emma Re*****on one bit , she was up and running within minutes and presented a fantastic and informative demonstration .
Her flowers and interesting foliage , colours ,textures and designs were superb,and she managed to keep us all entertained with her stories .
There were some very happy raffle prize winners .
