We had a lovely demonstration from Dawn Keitley yesterday
“Autumn from Lavender cottage . “
The flowers and designs were as pretty as it sounds , the roses and foliage were superb , she did a lovely Constance spry design. And
There was a beautiful container
covered in lavender, which everyone wanted to win , but we were all horrified to see cabbages arranged on a tall glass container , which as you can imagine have ,very thick stems and quite heavy but with the roses and an unexpected beautiful orchid , the result was amazing .

Who would have thought,an old box and metal ring ,could turn into a fab flower arrangement design .
Lee Berrill is so talented and has such wonderful ideas .
Maybe we could have done with a bit more time , as it needed a lot of cutting out and gluing , and not so much chatting to friends .
It was a great afternoon and we all said we were going to complete it at home .

We had a great trip around the Cotswolds, with Christine Ramsey yesterday, we all felt we were really there .
We learnt so much both with flowers and history , she is so knowledgeable. Her plant material was mainly grown by her husband and her flowers were superb We have all intrigued on how to dry material and how to use herbs including mint in bouquets .
Our chairman was over the moon when she won the arrangement that would all dry naturally, and was really excited with some of the tips she has picked up for the garden. It was a fab afternoon.
