"Zacchaeus the wealthy tax collector was seeking Jesus. He was too short in the crowd, so he climbed a sycomore tree to see Jesus. When Jesus passed the tree, he told Zacchaeus that he was coming to his house today. Zacchaeus was so grateful he promised to give all he had stolen back four times over and give half his possessions to the poor. Jesus blessed him and his household saying ""Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham,"" and Jesus continues by telling us what his purpose is, ""to seek and save the lost.""
If this story is true, what do you think made Jesus so different that a rich man would give away so much of his possessions?
What do you think it mean to be lost?
What do you think it means to be saved?"
