🌟 Volunteer Week 🌟

Real change happens because of volunteers.

From trustees and strategic leaders who guide the ship, carrying the responsibility, accountability, and risk, to every volunteer who selflessly gives their time to support others — each person plays a vital role in transforming lives.

Whether helping people, animals, or protecting nature, volunteers are the heartbeat of positive change. Their dedication, compassion, and generosity create hope where it is needed most.

The power of giving is the ultimate wealth. It costs nothing to care, yet its impact can last a lifetime.

This Volunteer Week, we celebrate every volunteer who gives their time, energy, and heart to make the world a better place. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️

Three years ago, 108 Rickshaw Run participants took on a 2,700km journey with one purpose greater than the challenge itself — to change lives. Together, they raised over £700,000 to build a state-of-the-art Dental Hospital at Aroghyadham.

Today, just short of 60,000 patients have been treated. What began as a 3-wheeler adventure has become a lifeline for surrounding villages — a place of healing, hope and dignity.

Dental professionals from the UK, India and the USA continue to volunteer their time and expertise to train, treat and serve those who otherwise would never have access to dental care. Outreach camps travel into rural communities, teaching children and families the importance of basic dental hygiene — something many of us privileged enough often take for granted, like a toothbrush and toothpaste.

A smile can hide pain, struggle and hardship… yet the gratitude and resilience of these communities is beyond words.

Aroghyadham now stands as a pillar of care for thousands, proving that selfless service, compassion and collective effort can uplift not just smiles, but entire communities.

Truly remarkable what one small 3-wheeler challenge can achieve. ❤️

Only 7 days to go! ⏳🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

20 incredible runners are about to take on 26.2 miles, pushing their limits to raise vital funds for girls’ education in rural tribal belt villages in India.

This is more than just a marathon. Every step they take is helping a girl access education — giving her the power to transform her future, uplift her community, and create lasting change in society.

The best part? Every £1 you donate goes directly to the cause. 💛

Please support these amazing runners as they take on this powerful challenge for a purpose that truly matters.

In loving memory of a truly special soul 🤍

We are heartbroken by the loss of one of our devoted volunteers at the Sewa UK Charity Shop.

Their kindness, humility, and unwavering dedication to serving others left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.

They gave their time so selflessly, always with a warm smile and a generous heart. Their presence brought light to our shop and strength to our community.

Though they are no longer with us, their spirit of sewa and compassion will continue to inspire us every day.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and loved ones. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 🙏

✨ Meet Samridhi ✨

Samridhi comes from an underprivileged family in a small village called Puad, located 30 km from Pune. Her life changed forever at the tender age of just 5, when she lost her father to a sudden heart attack. 💔 This tragic loss left her family in severe financial distress, struggling to meet even their basic needs.

In the midst of this hardship, Samridhi’s family held on to one thing — hope. Hope that their daughter could hear, learn, and build a brighter future. That hope turned into reality because of the kindness and generosity of a UK donor, who made it possible for Samridhi to receive the gift of hearing and a chance at a better life. 🙏

Today, Samridhi’s mother dreams of educating her daughter and seeing her grow into a strong, financially independent woman. 🌱 This journey would not be possible without the continued support of Sewa UK donors, whose compassion is transforming lives like Samridhi’s every day.

💙 Your support doesn’t just change one life — it changes an entire family’s future.
