Saturday, sitting in at the Table council meeting for a while and then in the evening a pleasure to have been to Raz Royale RT President Raz’s ball in Blackpool there were dancing girls showing their skills and then the hard bit trying to teach the guests how to dance Bollywood style, everyone having fun not sure that they were all following the moves as there were some strange sights to behold, but none the less fun watching, followed by a live band.

Out with Ribble and Lune on Thursday at the Flower Bowl for a taster session of ice curling. Something completely different, we all stayed upright with no injuries thanks to the young lady at the venue who taught us the basics and how to enjoy a game. There were one or two budding stars among us

Home from another great 2 days of fun and fellowship at the National Golf tournament at Staverton Park with 33 players, lots of prizes up for grabs which were shared around the country.
Sporting prowess excelled but others grumbled as their best game didn’t turn up on the day, but none the less fellowship prevailed as in all our national events.

A week out with the president
Tuesday was a really good night with Whittlesey lots to talk about helping them find solutions to membership the problem we should all ge aware of and talking about
Thursday Roy my driver for the night and I attended Stamford XT for a game of pétanque I was amazed at how they get 600 marshals together to run the Burghley horse trials.
Friday night with a change of driver to Darren we headed to the Maldon 55th charter, great fellowship and celebrations along with a magician, guess who got dragged up, a prime candidate with the most bling around his neck.
It was great to catch up with old friends and meet so many people.

Back home from another great fellowship weekend, this time it was the walking weekend 75 plus people walking along the Welsh coastline at the Mumbles.
Great to see so many people and new faces as well.
Thanks go to Steve and Karen James for organising the weekend.
Sadly they couldn’t organise the weather but then it was Wales so we had expect rain at some point but maybe not as much as we had.

Great night out at LoTs watching Andy Ventress addressing the members as to why he should be allowed to join the club and then the induction.
Followed by a great humorous talk from a Gerry a member of SERV the local blood bike group which is my charity for the year.

Enjoyable welcome evening at the caravan and camping weekend, well done to Stuart Bizley for organising at Clippesby Hall Norfolk.
Meeting old friends and making new ones, also good to see furry friends welcome

Wow what a transformation on a visit to Shanklin 41 club.
This was a club that a few years ago were thinking of disaffiliating and have now completely turned it around a strong link with their Table, they have also adopted the like minded man membership and are a really good strong club,

I joined them for a joint meeting with RT for a sports and barbeque evening sports included axe throwing , archery and poo the potato, a simple game where you hold a potato between your bum cheeks walk a little way and drip it in a bucket.
Simple you say it went literally arse over tit for me as the video proves, no potatoes got hurt during the process but much laughter and p**s taking pursued
