Join us and Scout and Guide Groups from across Spen Valley for our annual Field Day on Saturday 4th July!

The young people will parade through the campsite with a performance from the Spen Valley Scout and Guide Band, followed by fundraising from all the groups to help maintain our facilities and send our young people on international trips.

There will be fund for the whole family with plenty of food, games and fun! Why not pop down and support your local Scout and Guide Groups?

We look forward to seeing you!

1st Spen Valley Scouts have been in Birkenshaw for over 100 years, but I will be honest. We are struggling.

We have so many young people in the area but not enough adults to help them and give them

We currently have only 5 leaders across three sections supporting over 50 young people, and that’s not including the Explorer section we support too.

We don’t need master campers, knotting extraordinaries, campfire queens. We just want passionate people who are willing to give children amazing experiences.

All your training is provided and there’s plenty of friendly faces to help you along the way.

If you are interested in volunteering, even just a little bit, please message this page or email our Group Lead Volunteer Emily at [email protected].
