Seen something the other week and it made me feel “normal” so i thought id share about it.

Things no one tells you about traumatic grief.
When you lose someone you love deeply, your mind goes to the worst possible situation ALL the time because the unthinkable has already happened.

Some one changes something out of their routine and your left worrying.
Someone doesn’t answer a text. Teenagers going out with friends. Someone not answering a call.
A phone call out the blue.

Your stomach drops. The worry of what could of happened. What might happen. Your mind wonders to dark places because the unthinkable already did happen.

You make exit plans in your head, everywhere you go. You make up imaginary scenarios because you want to be ready.

Nothing seems impossible anymore.

People don't always understand about traumatic grief. It doesn't only change how you grieve the person you lost. It changes everything that comes after too. You live in fear of the people you love around you, leaving. That something might happen to them too.

You have to talk your mind and body down from overthinking everything. you have to put things that calm your mind in place, to try stop it running wild.

and apparently it’s completely normal.
so if you’re feeling this way. You are NOT alone.
