Healthwatch England has been looking at people’s experiences of NHS 111. People value it as an alternative way to get advice, but long waits and delays can be frustrating, and being passed between services can leave people unsure about who is responsible for their care.

We’d like to know what it’s like here in Bradford and District.

Tell us about your experience of using 111 by completing our survey https://www.healthwatchbradford.co.uk/have-your-say.

Your feedback helps us understand what’s happening locally and where things could improve.

With the Government seeking to make NHS 111 a key part of its shift from "hospital to community" care, we asked what people thought of the service. Here's what they told us.

📣 Have your say on the future of social care

The Casey Commission has launched its Big Conversation – a national conversation about what adult social care should look like in the future.

If you use social care, care for someone, work in social care, or simply have views about how the system could work better, this is an opportunity to share your experiences and ideas.

You can take part online, read what others are saying and add your voice to the conversation 👇

📢 Speak up for Healthwatch

Following national media coverage today about the planned abolishment of Healthwatch, we’re asking local people to speak up for an independent voice in health and social care.

✉️ we are asking you to write to your local MP and ask them to protect independent patient voice.

Our colleagues at Healthwatch Leeds have created a simple guide and letter template to help. https://healthwatchleeds.co.uk/healthwatch-leeds-news/2026/letter-to-mp/

Together, our voices are stronger. 💙

The future of Healthwatch is in the news today. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62e60m1jygo

Whatever changes happen across health and social care, we believe one thing is vital, people must continue to have a strong, independent voice.

If you feel the same, you can speak up by writing to your local MP. Our colleagues at Healthwatch Leeds have developed a guide to achieving this. Follow the link here: https://healthwatchleeds.co.uk/healthwatch-leeds-news/2026/letter-to-mp/

Together, we can make sure people’s voices continue to be heard.
