A gem of a venue. We hired the hall in February 2022 for my twin’s 21st black tie birthday celebration. It was an excellent venue and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We took the wedding package which meant we could use all of the tables, chairs, the bar, crockery, cutlery, candle holders, serving platters etc. We used the entire hall, so were able to have a drinks reception in Beanlands Room followed by a sit down meal in the main hall. The DJ set up on the stage. We used the Garden room with an in and out door to serve the buffet.
Judith, who is in charge of the institute hire, could not have been more helpful and we were given access to the hall to plan the event. The event had to finish at 11.30pm, as that is when the music license was up to, but this was not a problem as we started early, 6.30pm. The lighting in the hall was excellent, with dimmer switches and a disco ball to create a great ambience. A fantastic venue, superb value and made easy by the efficient help from booking to the end from the team at the institute.
