Rosie May Foundation

Rosie May Foundation At the Rosie May Foundation we are creating change to build positive and more resilliant futures for children and their families both locally and globally.

The Rosie May Foundation is a UK registered charity founded in 2004 by Rosie Mays parents, Mary and Graham, to create a living legacy for their only daughter, Rosie May who was murdered age 10. The Rosie May Foundation supports
communities in crisis enabling health and well-being, empowering women and children, especially girls, through education and skills training to have a positive future, one

that Rosie May was denied. In South East Asia, we aim to keep families together, by economically empowering women to unlock their potential and lift themselves out of poverty, ensuring safer and more resilient futures. In Sri Lanka we have trained the first female taxi drivers to provide safe travel for other women and children in Pink Tuk Tuks, lifting single mum drivers out of poverty. In Nepal we are working with a grant from U.K. Aid Direct to integrate survivors of trafficking back into the community. We have rebuilt a primary school in a Sherpa village in the lower Everest region, to enable children to resume their education in the aftermath of the 2015 earthquakes. In our local community of Nottinghamshire we mobilised a network of volunteers in response to the pandemic. Working together with our business community adapted resources by utilising Rosie our little Pink tuk tuk (previously used for events), to deliver essential items and good cheer to vulnerable people and smiles to children in schools. Post pandemic we continue to work in both our local and global communities providing direct practical support to those in need. We offer employment opportunities and are
partnered with the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent providing Internship placements for our local and global programmes. We offer fundraising opportunities and experiences in our trio of iconic pink tuk tuks and Roxy our pink tuk box has a duel purpose as a mobile coffee and bar serving both vulnerable people in our community and is available for hire at events.
