The Houghton Weavers in Concert @ Biddulph Town Hall!

Hello Biddulph! 🎶 We’re The Houghton Weavers and we want to tell you about our upcoming concert at the fabulous TOWN HALL Biddulph Town Council on Saturday 9th May, hosted by our friends of Biddulph Rotary.

If you fancy an evening of music and laughter, with a pie and peas supper, why not join us?!

❓So what can you expect❓

🎶 You’ll hear the old favourites such as Blackpool Belle, Sit Thi Deawn, Matchstalk Men and Dirty Old Town together with original songs and of course some audience requests thrown in to make each show a little different.

🤣There will be plenty of laughter, with infectious humour and funny stories.

🎸The Houghton Weavers have a great show lined up for you which, as their motto says, will “Keep Folk Smiling”.

FREE CHRISTMAS TREASURE HUNT IN BIDDULPH TOWN CENTRE
The Rotary Club of Biddulph have organised a FREE Treasure Hunt in the town on Friday 19th, Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December. How does it work? First of all you go to Biddulph Town Hall to collect your treasure hunt sheet. You then need to find the 9 letters in some of the shop windows on the high street. Once you have all 9 letters you have to work out which Christmas word the letters make up. Once you have done this, you return your sheet back to the town hall to claim your chocolate! Please remember the town hall office is only open 9am-1pm and then 2-4pm. THE ROTARY CLUB OF BIDDULPH supports END POLIO NOW. Today on WORLD POLIO DAY, we celebrate how far we have come and renew our commitment to finishing the job. Since Rotary pioneered the global fight to end polio in 1985, cases have fallen by 99.9% saving more than 20 million children from paralysis. Ending polio remains our number one humanitarian goal. Our progress so far is one of the world’s greatest public health achievements, and Rotary members have been at its heart.

We were delighted last week to attend a meeting with Biddulph Rotary Club, enabling us to share about or work locally, including the difference that we are able to make for many people.
We were pleased to receive a cheque to help us continue with this.
