Bexhill Festival of Music Here you will find a full variety of musical styles: classical, folk, jazz, rock, swing, choral and musical theatre. Many events are free to attend.

The Bexhill Festival of Music was founded in 2007:

- To further Bexhill’s identity as a cultural destination
- To celebrate the rich talent of its community
- To engage education as a core element
- To bring world class performers
- To increase local and regional tourism
- To strengthen the economic impact within the town

Bexhill Festival of Music 2023

This will be our 15th annual festival, off

ering Live and Local Music throughout our town. The range of instruments continues to grow and this year will be swelled further by an electronic organ and a solo harp! Others will raise money for our local charities through modest ticket prices/collections/donations. The Festival is committed to supporting music for our younger generation, so the Schools Summer Big Sing will take place at the De La Warr Pavilion. This brings pupils, students and teachers from our local schools and colleges together for an evening of music and singing accompanied by professional musicians. Our thanks extend to the De La Warr Pavilion, the Bexhill Lions and Claremont Independent School and all the Music Teachers for their support. It is equally encouraging to see that a musical day has been organised for children at Bexhill Library. We thank the advertisers in this programme for their financial help and once again our thanks extend to Rother District Council, Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors and McPhersons Accountants for their continued support. So please attend as many events as you can. It's what all the musicians, - from local amateurs to international professionals - thrive on. Above all, this Festival is for you. It wouldn't exist without you

A very warm rehearsal for the Festival Choir and Sussex Concert Orchestra just now. It should be a fantastic concert tonight, and a few tickets left to buy on the door.

After the interval, it’s time to wave your flags and sing along to all the prom favourites, including I Vow to Thee My Country, Fantasia on Sea Songs, Jerusalem and Auld Lang Syne!

𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟯 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 - 𝟴𝗽𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱
are delighted to be taking part in the Festival of Music once again for 2026. The band has a happy blend of ex-armed services and civilian musicians, who enjoy rehearsing together in Bexhill and are kept busy playing at events and concerts, some with a military or Royal British Legion connection and others purely supporting local events.
The programme for the Festival concert includes an imaginative array of music, ranging from light classical, through West End musicals, to some catchy arrangements of 20th century hits, all selected by the band’s Musical Director Martin Bunce AGSM.

Doors open 7.30, starts 8pm. Tickets are £5 and will be available on the door or in advance from the Club bar. The bar will be available to concertgoers.
