We’ve invested back into our Sports Hall floor! 🙌
After a two-week maintenance closure, we were delighted to reopen the Sports Hall on Tuesday following a full professional refurbishment of the floor.
We’re hugely appreciative of the work undertaken by Academy Hardwood Flooring, who have completely transformed it.
Last summer the floor was resealed and still looked shiny, but after many years of heavy community use it was time to go much further. The work has included repairs to the parquet, sanding the floor right back, renewing the sports court markings and professionally refinishing the whole surface.
Watching the original timber emerge again during the work was quite something — and the finished result has completely changed the look of the hall.
It’s fantastic to have the Sports Hall reopened and ready once again for the many clubs, groups, children and community activities that use it every week.
A big thank you to everyone affected by the closure for their patience and understanding while this important work was carried out.
Here’s a little look at the journey from before… through the work… to the finished floor. 👀
