Bexhill Youth and Community Centre is an organisation with many different outlets. We offer childcare related services including our playgroup, Stepping Stones and The Base. Our after school and holiday club for primary school aged children. We also have many different activities throughout the week within the building. These include;

Bexhill Gateway, a social club for adults with learning diffi

culties. An over 50's Table Tennis group with up to 5 tables and indoor floodlighting. Karate lessons of which are held twice a week. Bexhillians Table Tennis sessions. TTkidz for 7-11 year olds coming soon

We’ve just drawn the Raffle for this amazing hamper that was donated to us and ticket 538 won it. There were also a couple of extra donations of prizes and 2nd was ticket no 895 and 3rd ticket no 785. Thank you for all who bought tickets and this has added a further £91.00 to our roof fund.

🎟 Tickets will be available all week, with the draw taking place at 12 noon on Friday 19th December.

Tickets are £1.00 per strip.

Over the last couple of weeks, the children from Stepping Stones Playgroup and The Base After School Club — supported by our amazing staff team — have been working hard on their entry for the Bexhill Christmas Window Competition, themed “The 12 Days of Christmas.”

We’re delighted to share that all their creativity and effort has paid off… we’ve just been awarded SECOND PLACE! 🎉✨if your passing over the weekend do take time to stop and see all the efforts.

The children from Stepping Stones Playgroup and The Base Afterschool Club — along with our amazing staff — have been busy making beautiful crafts for our Remembrance Day display. 🌺 They’ve done such a fantastic job, and the windows are looking wonderful!

While doing a bit of research, we also found out that our centre was used by troops based in the local area during both World Wars — such a special connection to remember and honour. ❤️

Today was the first day of The Base Holiday Childcare, and the children gleefully set about decorating the centre for Halloween! 🕸️🦇 The decorations were a wonderful mix of handmade crafts and a collection of favourites that have been bought and saved over the years — giving the centre a truly festive feel. 🎨✨

This evening, Bexhill Gateway Club enjoyed the spooky atmosphere during their Halloween disco, with the decorations providing the perfect backdrop for a fun night of dancing! 💃🕺

The holiday childcare fun continues throughout the week with lots more autumnal and Halloween activities to come. 🍂🎃

We also provide free home safety equipment for eligible families. The equipment that may be recommended includes stairgates, bathmats, cupboard locks, blind cleats, window restrictors and fireguards.

🍂 Autumn Fair Success! 🍂

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Autumn Fair today! In our Year of Celebration, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve added a further £675 to our Raise the Roof Appeal 🎉

We were also delighted to be presented with a generous cheque for £500 from The Royal Sovereign Light Lodge — a wonderful boost to our fundraising efforts.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the organisers, those who purchased raffle tickets, and everyone who came along to support the event.

A special thank you to the Furrie Friends Group for bringing along their lovely rabbits, to Councillor Azad, Vice Chairman of East Sussex County Council (and a good friend of the Centre), for drawing the raffle, and to all our fantastic stall holders for helping make the day such a success.

Together, we’re continuing to Raise the Roof in our Year of Celebration! 💛

🍂 Autumn Fair – Tomorrow! 🍂

The cakes are baking, and the team are resting to be ready to greet our supporters tomorrow at our Autumn Fair. The children at Stepping Stones and The Base have been adding their creative touches to the Autumn-themed display boards and Autumn wreath for the window, which brings happiness to the room.

Children can take part in badge making (£2) to create two different sized badges, or sit and enjoy colouring for the children’s colouring competition, set over two age groups (50p per entry).

There will be a tombola, plant stall, book shelf (50p per book), and a selection of funny and cute novelties for sale. Teas and a selection of cakes will also be available.

There will be an opportunity to meet our Table Tennis Coach and try your table tennis skills out against the table tennis robot.

We’re open from 10am to 1pm, and it’s free to come in!

We also welcome the Furrie Friends group, who are bringing along their rabbits for a special meet and greet. This lovely group takes their rabbits into different settings to bring comfort and smiles to the people they meet.

As an added treat, we’ll also have a sweet stall from an exciting new up-and-coming business! 🍬🐰

🎟️ Raffle tickets are still on sale! The draw will take place at 12:30pm, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sold and bought tickets over the last couple of weeks.

🏆 Prizes include:
🥇 1st prize – £150
🥈 2nd prize – £75
🥉 3rd prize – an Autumn hamper
Plus boxes of chocolates, cuddly toys, and other lovely gifts!

We’re delighted that Councillor Azad, Vice Chairman of East Sussex County Council and a good friend of the Centre, will be performing the draw.
