Space for Yew CIC Space for Yew was founded in 2024 to support neurodivergent adults, children, and families. Our mission is simple: to prevent isolation and enhance wellbeing.

Weekly Family Stay, Play & Learn sessions (ages 0–8) – part of the ESCC SEND Local Offer. These child led sessions include sensory play, arts & crafts, games, and informal learning. Activities are tailored each week to meet the diverse needs of families attending. Nature Connections – Weekly outdoor sessions for children and their parents/carers, with a deep focus on wellbeing and the restorative power of nature. FREE monthly Coffee & Art mornings – creative, supportive meet-ups for parents/carers who are neurodivergent or raising neurodivergent children. Space for Yew in the Community – wellbeing social sessions such as seasonal wreath making as well as supported trips to community venues and events such as the pantomime or local farms. These experiences help people feel comfortable, connected, and part of their wider community while reducing isolation. We support children facing barriers to education – including those on part-time timetables, awaiting school placements, home educated, or struggling within school. Our staff team brings both lived and professional experience of neurodivergence including Autism, PDA, and ADHD. Our Sites -
Rother’s Neurodivergent Hub Bexhill, East Sussex
We are developing a new Hub in Egerton Park which will provide a welcoming, shared space for organisations and professionals supporting the neurodivergent community. The Hub will feature a large enclosed outdoor area with both a nature-based provision and a sports space alongside flexible indoor rooms equipped with sensory resources. These spaces are being designed to host a wide range of groups, activities, and events, offering families a supportive environment to connect and thrive. Woodland Site Battle, East Sussex
Our woodland site is the home of our project Nature Based Connections. Here we have created a safe, nurturing environment where children and families can connect, play, and enjoy the many benefits of being outdoors.

✨🎄 A truly magical festive evening in support of Space for Yew! 🎻❤️

We are absolutely delighted to share that, following the incredible success of last year’s concert, our wonderfully talented Olivia has organised another very special evening of music for us! 🥰

I can honestly say that last year’s performance was truly breathtaking and one of the absolute highlights of my festive period. There was something so special about hearing such beautiful music performed live by an incredibly talented string quartet. It was one of those experiences that stays with you long after the final note. ✨

This year, A Night at the Movies promises another unforgettable evening, with festive soundtracks brought to life by a beautiful string quartet in the most magical setting. 🎬🎶

❤️ There are two performances to choose from:

🌟 5.15pm–6pm: A relaxed performance for children and families, creating a welcoming opportunity for everyone to enjoy the music.

🎄 7pm–8pm: The main fundraising concert for a truly special festive evening.

📍 Beulah Baptist Church, Bexhill-on-Sea

Every ticket purchased helps support Space for Yew and the work we do to prevent isolation and improve wellbeing for neurodivergent children and their families.

🎾 Thrilling Thursday Fun 📍

Did you know that on Thursday's we run from a satellite hub in Bexhill?

From 10:30am-3pm, we run 3 sessions at the Space4Yew Neuro Hub in Egerton Park, Bexhill-on-Sea!

Starting at 10:30am-12pm we have our Home Ed Sport & Play session which is designed for those aged 5-16 and features 1.5 hours of organised sports fun with all equipment provided. Book here - https://eequ.org/book/bexhill-home-ed-sport-and-play-session-with-defiant-sports-33484

To finish off the day, from 2pm-3pm we have our Gym & Circuits 4 All session. A weekly 1 hour gym and circuits session for all ages and abilities. Come along to Space for Yew’s Festive Crafternoon and get creative while helping us raise vital funds for our community hub!

Spend a relaxed afternoon at Rother’s Neurodivergent Hub making your own beautiful personalised felt Christmas decorations. Choose from festive shapes, colours, ribbons, beads, sequins and more to create something completely unique to you. 🎄✨

This is an adult focused session, but you’re very welcome to bring along your teenager to craft with you too.

You don’t need to be crafty or have any experience — just come along, have a cuppa, enjoy some creative time and make something lovely for Christmas. ❤️

Every penny raised from this session goes towards Space for Yew, helping us keep Rother’s Neurodivergent Hub running as a welcoming, accessible community space for neurodivergent children, young people, adults and their families.
