www.spaceforyew.co.uk

Space for Yew was founded in 2024 to support neurodivergent adults, children, and families. Our mission is simple: to prevent isolation and enhance wellbeing. We provide a range of inclusive services:

Weekly Family Stay, Play & Learn sessions (ages 0–8) – part of the ESCC SEND Local Offer. These child led sessions include sensory play, arts & crafts, games, and informal learning. Activities are t

ailored each week to meet the diverse needs of families attending. Nature Connections – Weekly outdoor sessions for children and their parents/carers, with a deep focus on wellbeing and the restorative power of nature. FREE monthly Coffee & Art mornings – creative, supportive meet-ups for parents/carers who are neurodivergent or raising neurodivergent children. Space for Yew in the Community – wellbeing social sessions such as seasonal wreath making as well as supported trips to community venues and events such as the pantomime or local farms. These experiences help people feel comfortable, connected, and part of their wider community while reducing isolation. We support children facing barriers to education – including those on part-time timetables, awaiting school placements, home educated, or struggling within school. Our staff team brings both lived and professional experience of neurodivergence including Autism, PDA, and ADHD. Our Sites -
Rother’s Neurodivergent Hub Bexhill, East Sussex
We are developing a new Hub in Egerton Park which will provide a welcoming, shared space for organisations and professionals supporting the neurodivergent community. The Hub will feature a large enclosed outdoor area with both a nature-based provision and a sports space alongside flexible indoor rooms equipped with sensory resources. These spaces are being designed to host a wide range of groups, activities, and events, offering families a supportive environment to connect and thrive. Woodland Site Battle, East Sussex
Our woodland site is the home of our project Nature Based Connections. Here we have created a safe, nurturing environment where children and families can connect, play, and enjoy the many benefits of being outdoors.

🍃💡 Our sensory room 💡🍃

Our new favourite place to relax and recharge. 🧘‍♀️

Designed with all ages in mind, this space offers opportunities for calm, connection, play and regulation. Resources are stored away and can be accessed as needed, helping to reduce visual overwhelm and allowing each person to use the space in a way that feels right for them.

Families, community groups and organisations can access the room in a way that meets individual needs and preferences.

What would you love to see in this space?

Tomorrow is the day! 🙂

We’re so excited to welcome you to our Summer Fair at Rother’s Neurodivergent Hub.

Every penny raised on the Space for Yew stalls will go directly towards renovating and improving the Hub, helping us create an even better space for our community.

Please come along, bring your £1 coins, enjoy an afternoon of fun activities, have a go on the bouncy castle (yes, adults are welcome too! 😆), browse the stalls and chat with the fantastic local organisations and professionals that support neurodivergent children, young people and families.

We can’t wait to see you all and celebrate this amazing community together. 💚

🚨 NEW WEBINAR: Being a Neurodivergent Parent 🚨

Neurodivergent parenting brings insight, creativity, deep care, and unique strengths worth celebrating. It can also bring challenges that deserve understanding and support.

If you’re a neurodivergent parent or carer (diagnosis not needed), this 2-hour online session is for you 💛
We’ll talk honestly about the realities of parenting, explore challenges without judgement, honour individual needs, and share supportive approaches that work with your nervous system - not against it.
✨ No masking
✨ No pressure
✨ Just understanding, connection, and practical support
