Whilst we'd love it if no one needed emergency food, this isn't the case right now, so in response to clients' needs, we are opening a weekly foodbank session at the newly built Sidley Hub, Canada Way, from 23rd October.

Every Friday, 10am - 11.30am.

A referral voucher is required for all foodbank sessions, but if you are new to the foodbank and are in need of help as you are having to make the impossible decision between buying food and paying an essential bill, get in touch with us - [email protected] / 01424 322541 and we'll connect you with the right help.

God bless, we'll see you soon.....

We have our partners Energise Sussex Coast in the foodbank tomorrow and on a number of other days before Christmas, so they can help local people with energy and water bills advice.

Their service is fantastic and makes such a difference to our clients. Thanks so much!

Brilliant! Harvest is such a great time to get involved in learning about the food bank and understanding that not everyone is in the same position.

Huge thanks to Little Common Scouts, who recently collected essential food for us to give out to local people in need.

If you would like one of us to come along and talk at a group that you run - scouting, guiding, youth club, uniformed cadets etc just get in touch on [email protected] / 07866 570468

Did you know??

💷We provide financial capability advice to our clients

💷Our advisor, Gareth, works Tuesday - Thursday each week, and his role is to help our clients with the underlying issues that drive them to use the foodbank

💷You can self-refer to Gareth when you are at the foodbank (or one of our pantries)

💷He'll help you with benefit applications, mandatory reconsiderations, council tax issues, problems with your utility bills, applying for small grants, and getting you appointments with the right people to help in your situation

💷He has a fabulous track record of helping clients, so they no longer need to use the foodbank

If you are using the foodbank or one of our pantries, be bold and seek out Gareth's help today, I know you won't regret it.

We currently have two local members' pantries, which offer quality in-date food at a subsidised price. These are aimed at people who may be struggling with costs right now, but are not at the level where they need to use a food bank.
We've found that regular use of our pantries can help people stay out of the depth of crisis that leads them to use a food bank, and this is a great thing. However, we want a UK where everyone can afford to buy enough food for their family and food banks are a thing of the past.

Until that day, if you live in Pebsham or Battle (TN33), you can access one of our local pantries, and we do hope to be able to open more in the future.

Pebsham - Weds 10 - 11am each week
Battle (TN33) - Weds 12noon - 1pm each week

Are you struggling to afford to buy enough good quality food for your family? Why not find out about our pantries.

Huge thanks to our friends at Bexhill URC for collecting for us at their harvest service.

We are really garteful for all these wonderful donations, which make such a big difference to how much we have to buy at this time of the year.

God bless you all. 🙏
