Bexhill & Battle Foodbanks Bexhill& Battle Foodbanks are run by Churches Together in Bexhill (Charity Reg No 1205042)

Food is donated by people like you and left at any of our drop of points across the area. It is then sorted and packed up in to food parcels to suit the needs of our clients. Clients are referred to the foodbank by front line professionals and other recognised organisations. these agencies give the client a red voucher which is then exchanged at one of our distribution centres for a food parcel. I love that our volunteers are on board with our vision to walk alongside our clients to help them access the help they need. Our advice service is a really important part of that, making a real difference to our clients and helping to stem the rise in clients needing foodbank help.

Our Advisor, Gareth, works tirelessly to help address the issues people finding themselves facing. Last year he worked wth 157 clients, and the majority of them no longer needed to use the foodbank.

What amazing support we received last week. Thank you, Bexhill!

Our collection days at Tesco amounted to 440kg, which was around 40 crates of food for our picnic parcels, which this summer will go to families accessing the foodbank, who need a bit of cheer for a good day out! They'll be getting a cool bag full of food and drinks, sun cream, toys for the kids to play with outside and as long as our fundraiser goes well, a small grocery voucher to top up with fresh food items!

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting our Picnic Project crowdfunder. It is sitting at £565, which is amazing but nowhere as good as we hoped it might be, or where it has got to in previous years.

✅ Clients sometimes don't come with bags or don't have strong enough ones for the food parcels that we give them, so it is great that we can provide them with these reusable bags.

🎬If you have any sturdy shopping bags, in good condition, that you no longer need, please do drop them into us at the Foodbank. Alternatively you can drop them into any of our donation baskets around town.
