ROTHER COMMUNITY CHOIR A Bexhill based community choir singing for fun and to raise money for charity! Charity no. 1200201.

Rother Community Choir was formed in January 2010 and has already raised lots of money for local charities. The ‘brainchild’ of Sally Vennard, a Rother District Council employee who was inspired by the BBC2 series featuring conductor Gareth Malone on a mission to get the nation singing, this choir was created for the Council’s employees to join. It very quickly grew, rehearsing away from the workp

lace and welcoming new members with no links with Rother DC. Conducted and directed by Lorraine Barry, and accompanied by Hannah Gardner (from Oct 2016) the choir have over 40 members. We rehearse every Tuesday 7pm-9pm, at St Marks Church Hall, Little Common Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN39 4BZ. Rother Community Choir has a wide variety of songs from choral pieces to 60’s and more recent popular songs. Here's a little bit about our Raise Your Voice Concert on 7th June at St Johns Bexhill.
Rother Community Choir will be performing everything from the Glitz and Glam of the dicso dance floor to the floor boards of Abbey Road.
We are excited to be joined by two rising stars of musical theatre, our guest soloists Lia Lopez-Gittins and Ashton Storey. You can also look forward to special appearances from our famed Bexhill Divas and our newly formed, Mersey Beachers! We are especially delighted to welcome the Rother Recorder Consort, who are joining us tonight to help bring part of our Beatles story to life. Guiding us through the programme are our trusty compares Sue, Christine, and Joy. We are also thrilled to welcome back our brilliant live band; Jason Smith on drums and Louisa Patient on bass; under the musical direction of Hannah Gardner.
