I found today’s last drop off really hard! Like nearly in tears at the classroom doors and actual tears once they were in.
Came for a quick coffee by the river to ground myself and reflect on the past year.

I’ve been going back and forth over a new name and logo for NICU Natter for quite a while. If I’m honest, I think part of me was just scared to commit 😬

NICU Natter has been such a big part of my life, and I know it has been for many of you too, since our babies spent time in NICU.

But as this page has grown, I’ve realised I wanted a name that reflects more clearly where this community is heading.

So, I’m introducing the new name: Journey Beyond the NICU 💛

Because for so many of us, NICU was only the beginning. What came next was another journey altogether — navigating life beyond the NICU, and for many families, the ongoing rollercoaster of neurodiversity and SEND.

I want this space to be a community for those of us who have been through NICU and are now facing the next chapter together.

Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey with me 🤍
