The Godber Foundation was set up in memory of local cricketing legend Ashley Godber. A star of both Beverley Town Cricket Club and Cherry Burton Cricket Club, Ashley was known far wider for his infectious personality and genuine love of cricket. Both Beverley Town and Cherry Burton Cricket Club’s were devastated by the news of Ashley’s passing, on Wednesday 31st May 2017, on his way to play for beloved Cherry Burton Cricket Club against PAK Challengers.
