We'd like you to 'climb aboard' the latest offering at the Village Hall. Train Time UK is a fun-filled, train-themed stay & play experience for toddlers, pre-schoolers and beyond. It’s hands-on, imagination-fuelled fun for little train lovers and Woodmansey Village Hall is the perfect space for it.

Have you ever wanted to give a little back to your local community? Do you have a few spare hours to give?

We are hosting a 'Volunteers Evening on 25th April and are expecting a wide variety of local organisations that could really benefit from your time, enthusiasm and support including: Beverley Men in Sheds, MASH - Military Assistance Social Hub, Jacob's Well, Beverley Community Lift, Motor Trades GTA, Beverley in Bloom and Age Concern Beverley.

Why not pop along to the hall and meet them. Refreshments will be served and members of the Village Hall Committee will also be on hand to share news about the improvements they are making, and about the new events that are taking place at the hall.

We're very excited to share the news that Beverley and Hornsea Scouts are about to start a NEW Woodmansey Scout Group which will be based at the Village Hall and utilise our great facilities. It's a wonderful opportunity for children of all ages to get involved and we understand the response has already surpassed expectations.

"At Scouts, we are dedicated to equipping young people with valuable skills for their future. We inspire our youth to pursue growth, knowledge, and achievement."

We've been busy preparing the hall for the influx of bookings we've had for 2025 (and beyond) and were delighted with the support we got from Brewers Decorator Centres when it came to supplying the paints. It seems they were pretty proud of what's been achieved too and have featured us on their website! Why not come along to one of the weekly events we hold, or perhaps talk to us about making a booking yourself. We look forward to welcoming you.

We were out and about at Saturday Market in Beverley this morning visiting the stall of the 'East Riding Astronomers' - a group that meet at the Village Hall on the first Monday of each month from 7:30pm.

Our Chairman Richard Los met 'ERA' Chair Chris Eagleton, who with his colleagues took time to share their knowledge of what there is to see in the East Riding night sky to passers by and explained that you don't need to have any fancy equipment to start, just a decent pair of binoculars.

They will of course share their telescopes with those who come along, so why not join them on 2nd September? For more info go to: https://eastridingastronomers.org.uk

We're keen to learn more about the users of our wonderful Village Hall and will bring you more news over the coming months.
