All money raised will go to help Lily and Chris from our unit along with Joey and Sophie from our local scout troop in reaching their target goal for their place at the World Scout Jamboree in Poland 2027. This event takes place every 4 years where over 40,000 scouts from all over the world come together to celebrate scouting, learn about different cultures and how each country scouts.

We would like to thank Community at TescoBerwick for kindly donating the BBQ to our Explorer unit to use as a fundraiser.

We took great pleasure in wishing Euan a massive happy 18th birthday today 🥳. He even decided to come camping with us for his birthday weekend. Euan has came right up through scouts with our local group and then played a big part in helping get our new Explorer unit up and running. We have been back through the photo albums to get some great shots of his time in scouting.

We what to say a massive congratulations to Euan for receiving his Chief Scout Platinum award today at the Northumberland County award ceremony. Euan has shown great commitment and worked hard to achieve this. Massive well done to all the other young people who received awards today.

Some of our unit joined our local scout group today to enjoy the Spittal Variety Group production of Hansel and Gretel. Amazing show as per usual.

This evening some of our Explorers attended a carol service hosted by the Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland to celebrate youth in uniform. It was great to see the church full of youths from all over Northumberland and so many different organisations and groups. Tonight really did prove how amazing the youth in Northumberland are. We would like to thank the Lord-Lieutenant for inviting our Explorers to join in the celebration.

Congratulations to Lily from our Explorer unit in being selected as part of the Northumberland contingent for the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland 🇵🇱 🌍

Over the weekend, Northumberland Scouts held selection days that seen almost 100 older Scouts and Explorer Scouts take part in days packed full of fun and adventure! With only 36 spaces available, they made it a really tough decision for the leadership team to narrow it down.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Border Links for choosing to fundraise for our unit at their recent coffee morning in Cornhill. They raised an amazing £360 which will go a long way in purchasing kit to run our unit.

Once again we would like to thank everyone involved in running the event and everyone who kindly supported on the day.

Tonight the Explorers were set the challenge to create 5 mini golf holes with anything they could find in the hall. Once the holes were complete, we had a put-off to see who could complete all 5 in the least shots. The results were interesting to say the least 😂 but all the explorers thoroughly enjoyed the challenge

The unit are wishing the best of luck to everyone taking on the Junior & Mini Great North Run today and Great North Run tomorrow. 🏅🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
