It's next Wednesday! We also have some great RAFFLE PRIZES. For just Β£1 you could be having afternoon tea for two at Tortworth Court, taking a family of four to Slimbridge, a friend to Westonbirt Arboretum, or to Wotton's EPH cinema to see a film. There are also some great hand made items from Crafters shop in Wotton and a yoga class up for grabs.

Join Wotton Area CAN for a fun and friendly evening celebrating the natural world!

Gather a team and put your wildlife, plants, nature and environmental knowledge to the test in our light-hearted Nature Quiz. Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, everyone is welcome.

There will be prizes for the winning team and a relaxed, sociable atmosphere throughout the evening.

As part of the event, we'll also hold a very brief AGM, taking a quick look back at Wotton CAN's activities and achievements over the past year and sharing some of our plans for the future.

This is a special fundraising event to help support next year's programme of talks, events and community activities. We don't charge for our events, so your support is greatly appreciated.

πŸ‘• We Need Your Rags to Turn Into Riches! 🌍
We are looking for donations of old t-shirts for an exciting activity as part of The Great Big Climate Circus.

We're collecting:
βœ”οΈ Stained t-shirts
βœ”οΈ Ripped t-shirts
βœ”οΈ Faded t-shirts
βœ”οΈ Old event t-shirts with logos
βœ”οΈ Unwanted uniform tops

These donated items will be used to demonstrate creative ways to upcycle clothing using scrap fabric, colourful thread, and fabric pens, helping people discover how easy it can be to give old clothes a second life.

πŸ’§ A single t-shirt uses almost 2.5 years of drinking water before it has even been washed. By extending the life of clothing, we can help reduce waste and make better use of the resources that have already gone into producing it.

Give your old t-shirts a new purpose and help inspire others to repair, reuse and reimagine what they already own.

πŸ“ T-shirts of all sizes needed.
πŸ“© Contact Creative Sustainability to arrange a donation or drop off

Together, let's turn unwanted clothing into something wonderful. ♻️

πŸ“š A new chapter for Wanswell! πŸ“š

We're pleased to announce that the former telephone box in Wanswell has been transformed into a community book exchange and is now open for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you're searching for your next great read or have a book you'd like to pass on, you're welcome to pop in, browse the shelves and help keep this lovely community resource thriving.

πŸ“– Take a book.
πŸ“š Leave a book if you can.
❀️ Enjoy!

A small request from us: please help us keep the book exchange looking its best by treating it with respect. Books in good condition are always welcome, but please don't use the phone box to dispose of unwanted items or rubbish.

We hope it becomes a well-loved feature of the village for many years to come.

Happy reading! πŸ“–
