* How do I get a referral? Referrals are made by the following agencies:

From 4 October 2021 we will also be happy to accept walk-in self-referrals during opening hours. Those wishing to self-refer should bring some form of ID and proof of address, together with details of any benefits they are receiving.


* Do I have to live in Bentley to get a referral? We are here to serve North Doncaster: Arksey, Bentley, Cusworth, Scawsby, Scawthorpe, Sprotbrough and Toll Bar. However, if a referral is made for someone living outside the Bentley area and there is another Food Bank that the Client may be able to access, we reserve the right to contact that Food Bank and enquire if an individual has accessed their provision

* How can I contact BBC Food Bank? BBC Food Bank can be contacted on 07574 907597 or by e-mail on [email protected]

* How/Where can I make a donation? Donations can be made at our dedicated Collection Points located in Bentley Library and at St Peter’s Church Hall, Bentley High Street (Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm), or at any shop in Bentley displaying the BBC Food Bank Collection Point poster

* What can be donated/what donations do you accept? Due to limited storage and shelf life, we are unable to take donations of perishable/fresh/frozen food, but tinned/dried/packet food is all acceptable. Donations of the following essentials are most welcome:
Tins: soup, baked beans, tomatoes, vegetables, fish, meat products, fruit, custard, rice pudding
Packets: cereals, rice, pasta, biscuits, instant mash, powdered milk
Other: instant coffee, tea bags, long-life milk, long-life fruit juice, jam, fruit squash

* Are you part of the Doncaster Food Bank/Trussell Trust? BBC Food Bank is an independent Food Bank set up by Bentley Baptist Church

We will be holding another support session on Monday 9th February. If you need to speak with someone about housing, finance, mental health or something else you might want to know more about within the local community, please come along between 1pm and 3pm for a chat.
