Official Committee Statement – Belton & Sandtoft Christmas Village Lights

We are aware of a recent post circulating on social media claiming that the Belton & Sandtoft Christmas Village Lights will not be taking place this year. We would like to make it absolutely clear that this post has not been made by the official committee and appears to have originated from a fake or unauthorised account.

We can confirm that the Belton & Sandtoft Christmas Village Lights WILL be going ahead this year, and planning is already underway to ensure another successful and enjoyable event for the whole community.

Over the past several months, members of the committee have unfortunately been subjected to repeated harassment and torrent emails. This behaviour has persisted even after individuals involved have been spoken to by correct authorities including the police. We want to be clear that this is unacceptable and has no place in our community. The committee is made up entirely of volunteers who give their time and effort to organise events for everyone to enjoy.

We kindly ask for your continued support, respect, and understanding as we move forward with preparations. Any official updates will only come from our verified channels.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us—we look forward to bringing the lights back this year.

🌟 Let’s Light Up Westgate Road to Sandtoft This Christmas! 🌟

Now that we’re officially a CIC, we’re dreaming bigger than ever — and this year, we would love to bring Christmas lights all the way from Westgate Road to Sandtoft.

But to make this happen, we need the support of the community we serve.

Our group is run entirely through the generosity of local businesses such as MJN Motors, Addlesee Skip Hire, Roadcone Traffic Management, The Little Bathroom Shop, and Henderson Transmissions. We’ve previously received grants from North Lincolnshire Council, but aside from that, we receive no other funding.

This year alone, it will cost £2,000 just to get Belton lit up — so we’ll be launching a major fundraising drive throughout the year. We’re hoping to bring back our popular and much‑loved Dog Show, along with other community events to help raise the funds needed to extend the lights into Sandtoft.

We’ll also be applying for grants to support this vision, but we can’t do it without you.

💡 We need volunteers. We need community spirit. We need people who want to see Sandtoft shine.
If you live in Sandtoft and want Christmas lights — this is your moment to get involved.

We know the area is full of Christmas events, but we’ve been doing this for six years. We want Belton and Sandtoft to have the Christmas you want and deserve.

No support means no lights.
Sandtoft asks for lights every year — so let’s make it happen together.
Let’s light up the whole area.

Not all Hero's wear capes!

All the team would like to give a big shout out to Chris Davies who each year helps with the lights and the tree. He gives up his valuable time, just to help the community.

He is well deserving of a superman award!! ( or a t-shirt!)

All the lights on the High street are now down for another year - huge thank you to our team Roadcone who were out early today. We are so grateful for your support every year!

The team will be removing the hall lights and the tree today.

If anyone wants some logs from the tree please let us know.

Lots of things will be planned this year and we will see you all in November for 2026 lights!
