💚 Over 50s Club 💚

Today our group took part in a Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing session, and what a fantastic morning it was.

The conversations around the room were brilliant, with everyone sharing their own experiences, supporting one another, and reminding us all just how important it is to take time for our mental health and wellbeing.

The five simple steps – Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Give, and Take Notice – are small actions that can have a big impact on our health and happiness.

A special thank you to Laurie from EBCDA -
East Belfast Community Development Agency for delivering today’s session. It was engaging, thought provoking, and encouraged some fantastic conversations within the group.

We are delighted to announce that our annual Halloween Event is back… and it’s going to be our BIGGEST one yet! 🧡🖤

🎃 For the first time ever, the event will run over THREE DAYS!
🎉 Even better… it’s absolutely FREE!

We know many families look forward to this event every year, and we’re working hard behind the scenes to make this year’s Halloween one to remember.

🤝 Working Together for Our Community 🤝

Every month, Titanic Area Community Group takes part in local Interagency Meetings, alongside representatives from the PSNI, Belfast City Council, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Choice Housing, Charter NI, local MLAs, Councillors, and other partner organisations.

These meetings provide an opportunity for organisations to share information, discuss local issues, and work together to improve our community.

If you have an issue in your area and feel like you’re not being listened to, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. While we can’t guarantee that every issue will be resolved, we can raise your concerns with the relevant organisations and ensure your voice is heard.

Community issues often carry more weight when they are supported by local residents and presented through partnership working.

If we can help, we will. If we can’t, we’ll always try to point you in the right direction.

Our current programme has now come to an end, which means we have a small number of spaces available for new members to join our friendly and welcoming Women’s Group.

🎃 Halloween preparations are officially underway! 👻

Today we’re carrying out a stock take of all our Halloween equipment to see what we have and what we still need for this year’s event. A Lot of Boxes to go through 😅

Every year we aim to make our Halloween celebrations bigger and better for local families, and planning starts months in advance to make it all happen.

We can’t wait to share what we’ve got planned for 2026! 🎃🍬🕸️

🎃 Halloween 2026 Update 🎃

Due to the ongoing closure of Connswater Community Centre, and with no confirmed reopening date, our Annual Halloween Haunted House & Pumpkin Patch may have to take place at a different location this year.

But don’t worry… our plans are well underway! 😁

One thing’s for sure – our amazing team of volunteers will not be stopped from bringing another fantastic Halloween event to the community. 💪🎃

We’re currently exploring alternative venues to ensure another safe, fun and memorable experience for all the children and families who attend every year.

As soon as we have more information, we’ll let everyone know.

📣A huge thank you to the amazing Parkgate Residents Association for their incredible support once again! Soda Mark Magee Lorraine Peacock ❤️

While we were busy putting the final preparations together for Friday’s Family Fun Day, I completely forgot to share that they held their annual community collection and raised an amazing £504 for our Family Fun Day.

They have supported us year after year, and we’ve had the pleasure of working together for the last few years. Their continued generosity and the kindness of everyone in the Parkgate community make a massive difference and help us put on a fantastic event for local families.

From all of us, thank you so much to everyone who donated and to the Parkgate Residents Association for your ongoing support. We truly appreciate everything you do! 💙
