At our January Installation of Officers meeting Wor. Bro. Peter Irvine stept down from Worshipful Master following a successful 2 year term in office. He was succeed Wor.Bro William Robinson with Wor. Bro. William Robinson Jr taking the Deputy Master’s Chair. Here you see Wor. Bro. Irvine recieve his PM Collarettee and Certificate from Wor. Bro. The Wor. Master, Officers and Brethren of Bloomfield Temperance LOL490 are deeply saddened by the sad passing of Rt Wor. Bro John McCrea PM Star of the North Ballyhackamore LOL 1053. A stalwart of the Orange cause.
Our Sincere Condolences go to his Lodge and the Family Circle at this difficult time.

It is with sad and heavy hearts that we have to report the passing of a giant of an Orangeman within East Belfast.

Rt W Bro John McCrea was a proud member of Star of the North (Ballyhackamore) LOL 1053 which was appropriated having resided and grown up in Ballyhackamore.

He was engaged with the Junior Lodge JLOL 71 which met in a mission hut on Sandown Road now a car park.

He held various offices in the Orange Institution becoming County Grand Master of Belfast after serving a term as County Grand Secretary. John served as Grand Secretary and was Imperial Grand Secretary for a period.

In recognition of his invaluable contribution to the Orange Institution he was awarded the position of Honorary Deputy Imperial Grand Master.

On behalf of the WDM, the Officers and Brethren of No6 DLOL we offer deepest condolences and sympathy to John’s family and friends - safe in the arms of Jesus.

Well guys that's another 12th July Celebrations over, roll on the Haters.
We in LOL490 had a Fantastic Day, not going to mention individual but Thank You Everyone from Lodge Members, the Families, to the Masses on the Streets of Belfast who turned out in their 10s of Thousands to cheer us on and help keep us hydrated in the intense heat 🥵 with endless supplies of Bottled Water.
Just a few snaps from the day from heading out under the Orange Arches in Templemore Ave to a few snaps in Donegal Place then home soil again under the Arch again in Templemore Ave to the finish.
God willing we'll see you all again for another Glorious 12th July again.

The Worshipful District, Wor. Bro. Sam Sharkie, Officers and Brethren of Ballymacarrett District Lodge No.6 would like to thank everybody who made our Battle of the Boyne Celebrations a successful day.

To our exceptional musicians who supplied our traditional music and entertainment in some of the hardest conditions we Thank You.

To St. John’s Ambulance and all the emergency services who kept everyone safe and tender to those who needed care, Thank You.

Finally to those of you who stood on the side of the road, clapping and cheering, but more importantly supplying us with water at your own cost we Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, your dedication and support to keeping your parade safe is greatly appreciated.
