The clock is ticking, and things are starting to come together for our summer camp to Kandersteg International Scout Centre✈️

We've ordered new Vango tents, and our camp activities are slowly being confirmed:
🥾 Oeschinensee hike,
🌎 Summer international evening
🏔️ Overnight hut hikes
🔥 Campfires
💦 Rafting
🏰 Thun Castle
🇨🇭 Swiss culture night

Last Sunday, our Scouts and Explorers did their second training hike for our summer camp, taking place at Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland🇨🇭🥾

We started at Belfast City Council Belfast Castle, and hiked the Cave Hill Trail, 7km and 300m elevation gain. It's not quite like the Swiss Alps, but good practice for carrying a rucksack and walking up steep hills😅

Everyonde did really well, and we are planning another training hike in April🌟

A massive thanks to everyone who supported us at our fundraising quiz last Friday night. We had a fantastic turnout and raised close to £1,000 to help get our Scouts and Explorers to Kandersteg International Scout Centre this summer🎉🎉🎉

Our quiz master, Sam Hand pitched the questions perfectly, and he also entertained us with other games like play your cards right, head & tails and "throw the coin at the bottle"🃏💸😜

Thanks also goes to Lisburn Racquets Club, Jude and his team for providing the perfect venue and to our wonderful sponsors who supplied us with raffle prizes worth winning. All tagged in the comments🙏🙏🙏👇

Prizes for our Raffle keep coming in🙏🙏🙏

Beauty hampers from the kind people at MediCare Pharmacy Group, Clarins and Williamson's Chemist

It's not too late to buy tickets for our Quiz and Raffle on Friday night. It's open to adults and children to raise funds for our camp to Kandersteg International Scout Centre this summer.

No team for the quiz? Don't worry, come along and we'll pair up smaller teams and individuals into teams of 6/8. There's also a children's round, and drinks and snacks will be on sale.

Hope to see you tomorrow night! You can buy tickets in advance online, and tickets will also be available at the door.

Yesterday 109th Belfast Scouts and Explorers took part in our first training hike in preparation for our Kandersteg International Scout Centre summer camp 🏕

We hiked over 9km along the Divis Ridge walk at National Trust Divis Black Mountain. Everyone enjoyed the hike, and they all look really strong for Kandersteg.

We've got some more hikes planned in the coming weeks on Cave Hill and in the Mourne Mountains🥾

Thanks to everyone who supported yesterday's fundraising event in the Kennedy Centre👏👏👏

By far the biggest draw was our wonderful young people who should be beaming with pride. Customers and businesses in the centre were really eager to support us, and our Scouts were fantastic ambassadors for 109th Belfast and Scouting in general⚜️⚜️⚜️

We raised just short of £300, which will go towards our Kandersteg International Scout Centre camp in July 2026🇨🇭
