We’re delighted to announce that NIKPA Family Fun Day is back! 🎉

📍 Jungle NI, Moneymore

We’re inviting all renal patients, families, carers, supporters and renal staff from across Northern Ireland to join us for a brilliant day of family fun and adventure! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

🎉 And it’s FREE for NIKPA guests!

There will be plenty of activities and adventures at Jungle NI for all ages, so bring the family and come along for as much or as little of the day as you like.

📢 Join Us for a Special AGM Event: Keeping It Renal 📢

Step inside the world of Paediatric Renal Care and hear first-hand about the incredible work taking place to support children and families affected by kidney disease.

We are delighted to welcome Hazel Gibson, Paediatric Renal Coordinator, who will provide an insight into paediatric renal care and the services available to young patients and their families.

We will also be joined by Ben and his mother, Andrea, who will share their powerful personal story of living with kidney disease from birth and the journey beyond. Their experience is sure to inspire, inform, and remind us of the strength found within our kidney community.

✨ Meet the heart behind the Belfast Children’s Transplant Team - Hazel ✨

As we count down to the 2026 British Transplant Games, we’d like to introduce our incredible Team Manager, Hazel.

Hazel has led our team since 1996, missing only three Games in almost 30 years. Her dedication has helped create a team built on friendship, support and unforgettable memories.

For Hazel, every child is a winner; whether they bring home medals or simply give it their all. Year after year, she says she never thinks she could be any prouder of our wee Belfast Children’s Transplant Team… and every year they prove her wrong! 💚

Thank you, Hazel, for everything you do. 🥰

NIKPA is so very proud of committee member Suzanne and her incredible achievements at the British Transplant Games! 💙🦋

She is home with 3 silvers and 1 bronze 🥈🥈🥈🥉 — absolutely shattered but so, so happy!

All the hard work, training and dedication has paid off. What an amazing achievement! 🙌🏅❤️

The renal team in the Western Trust has put together a guide explaining roles of the dedicated staff involved in caring for dialysis patients – their very own “renal family.”

It’s a great reminder that behind every patient’s journey is a multidisciplinary team working together to provide expert care, support, and compassion.

Huge congratulations to Suzanne, a NIKPA committee member, on her fantastic achievement at the London T100 Sprint Triathlon! 🏊🚴🏃

Suzanne smashed her personal best by an incredible 20 minutes and finished 4th in her age category – an outstanding performance. 👏
