What is Assembly Community Connect? Assembly Community Connect works to enhance connections between the Assembly and the Community through education and outreach. We provide free training, information and support for the local community. Assembly Community Connect is open to all individuals that wish to engage with the Assembly, its processes and structures.

What matters most to older people in Northern Ireland? We want to hear from you: https://lk.nia.fyi/wM43

The Older People’s Parliament will take place on 15 October 2026, giving older people the chance to raise the issues that matter most to them.

Our short survey is now open and will help shape the topics discussed on the day.

If you are aged 55 or over — or you work with, care for, support or advocate for older people — please take a few minutes to have your say.

Survey closes Friday 24 July 2026.

We were delighted to welcome a group from the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust to Parliament Buildings this week to mark Carers Week. The group attended our ‘Assembly Explained’ workshop, enjoyed a tour of the building and met with a number of MLAs.
Carers play a vital role in supporting individuals, families and communities across Northern Ireland. We recognise and thank them for their dedication, compassion and invaluable contribution.
