🌿🧵 What a wonderful morning at our first sewing lesson! 🧵🌿
Today marked the start of our four-week sewing journey, and it was such a joy to see everyone gathered together, learning new skills, sharing conversations, and supporting one another.
From threading needles to making those first careful stitches, each mum took an important step in building confidence and creativity. Sewing is such a beautiful way to slow down, work mindfully, and create something meaningful with our own hands.
We're so proud of everyone who joined us today and can't wait to see how skills and projects develop over the coming weeks. Thank you for bringing such positive energy and enthusiasm to the group.
Here's to lesson one completed and three more inspiring sessions ahead! ✨

🌿✨ What a beautiful morning together! ✨🌿
Today our wonderful holistic mums group spent the morning creating gorgeous flower boxes filled with healing herbs, fragrant blooms, and lots of love 🌸🪴
From lavender and mint each box was thoughtfully planted with herbs to nurture both home and wellbeing. There’s something so grounding about getting our hands in the soil, sharing conversations, and creating something special☀️
Thank you to everyone who came and made the space feel so warm and welcoming. We can’t wait for the next gathering 🌼

❤️ Tonight was week 2 of the Colin connected mums programme, the ladies learned how to build personal resilience using HeartMath evidence based techniques. ➕❤️

We were able to measure if our nervous system was coherent and in sync using Heartmath biofeedback technology. 😍

😊 Everyone learned about the effect of different emotions on the body and how to use heartmath on a daily basis to improve our physical and mental health.

📍 We can use the practice on the go to relieve stress, lower blood pressure, lower our heart rate, improve mental clarity and have more positive interactions in our life.

📝 In a later class we will measure the impact of our practice using the technology to see the improvements in our coherence scores. Well done to everyone tonight for taking the time to focus on their self care. ➕ ❤️ 😍

The ladies were getting creative today with Roisin from Belfast Art House. Everyone enjoyed the chilled vibe, coffee and a wee chat. Everyone left with their own personalised clay art. ❤️😊☕🎨

Join us at Colin Sure Start for our Real Birth Programme – a supportive and informative 4-week course designed to help you feel confident, prepared, and empowered for your baby’s arrival 💛

📅 Starts Saturday 2nd May
⏰ 11am – 1pm
📍 Dairy Farm Centre

This programme will cover:

👶 What to expect during labour and birth
💬 Coping techniques and pain management
🤝 Partner support
💛 Building confidence for birth
🍼 Early days with your baby
👨‍👩‍👧 Connecting with other parents
A relaxed, friendly space where you can learn, share, and prepare for one of life’s biggest moments 💫

This is open to all parents who are expecting a baby who live in the Colin area and are registered with Colin Sure Start.
