We've had an amazing couple of weeks training and volunteering at St John Ambulance North Belfast Ambulance Unit. We've been out there with ambulance 🚑 and first responder teams covering -
Football, Lough Moss Leisure Centre and Colin Valley ⚽
Karts, Nutts Corner
Colour Run, YMCA 🏃
Soap Box Derby, Stormont
Fun Day, Carrs Glen Primary School

We were sent the photographs below showing some history of St John Ambulance, Newtownards Division in 1995. The second photograph shows one of the long serving volunteers from St John Ambulance North Belfast Ambulance Unit Anne-Loiuse Parker who started her St John journey with the Ards Unit back in 1987. Anne-Loiuse is second row, third from right. That's an amazing 37 years service and we all agree she hasn't changed a bit!! Well done Anne-Loiuse 🙏🙏👍👍

What a weekend! Lots of bank holiday activities in Belfast and St John Ambulance North Belfast Ambulance Unit were out in force providing essential first aid and ambulance cover 🚑 Volunteers were on duty at Rugby 🏉 Festival of Fools and of course Sunday was the Belfast Marathon where we had 3 ambulances and 12 volunteers flat out on what was a very long day for everyone!! Well done team 🙏👍👏

Another great Monday training session with Chris at St John Ambulance North Belfast Ambulance Unit. One of this year's biggest events takes place this Sunday, the Belfast Marathon, so we covered dealing with minor injuries such as heat stroke, sprains and strains. 'Bones' was wheeled out to help with the demonstrations 💀😂 Good luck to any St John Ambulance volunteers taking part in the marathon!! 🚑🏃🍀

We've been at hockey and rugby games, 🏉🏒 hospice events, karts and family fun days. Just look at those happy faces 😁 Keep up the good work folks! 🩺🚑

The team has been out covering spring duties and Easter looks like a busy week for St John Ambulance North Belfast Ambulance Unit.🐣🐥 In preparation we have gone back to basics at training the last couple of Mondays. There can never be enough CPR practice 🚑 Then it was back to basic bandaging with a bit of fun!! Teams competed to be the quickest bandaging our poor 'casulties' who looked a bit worse for wear!! 🤕 🫣🤕
