THE BELL ARCHIVE EXHIBITION - opens Friday 19th September.
Ulster Museum - Belfast room.

These 100 extraordinary images are a fraction of the archive of photographs taken by four brothers of the Bell family who shared many interests, such as art, antiques and ornithology. The photographs capture the reality of life in rural Ireland in 1950, where the mode of transport was the donkey, fuel was turf, most people were barefoot and the language was Gaeilge.
