💚 Massive congratulations to The Falls Band on the release of their brand-new single!

We were proud to help fund this project through the John McCann Foundation, and it was incredible seeing them take the stage at the Kneecap charity gig during Féile An Phobail last week.

We are currently finalising details for our upcoming project funding applications, which will launch this autumn.

John McCann was a creative soul, a musician, artist, and advocate who lived for the arts and loved helping others pursue their passion. The John McCann Foundation exists to keep that spirit alive by empowering local artists and breaking down the barriers that hold back creative expression.

That’s why we are so proud to have sponsored the studio recording of local Belfast band The Falls and their brand-new single, “Fáilte Ar Ais”! 🎸

Funding this track is everything our foundation stands for: giving passionate, homegrown talent the platform and resources to flourish. 💚

🤍Looking through the archives today, we came across these moments captured at one of Glen’s shows.🤍

For so many years, making the journey to see Glen Hansard play live was a tradition we held close to our hearts.

His raw songwriting, captivating storytelling, and the sheer heart he poured into every stage provided the soundtrack to our lives and to so many of our favorite memories together.

Music has a way of keeping our most cherished moments alive.

Rewatching this footage today is a tender reminder of how much joy, poetry, and connection Glen brought into our world.

We are so grateful for the songs that stayed with us, and the soundtrack they gave to a lifetime of memories.
