Hello! Amadou here, thank you Belfast and NI for helping us raise money for projects in the Gambia.

We have built two water wells, poultry farm and sent loads of clothes, toys and medicine, as well as put kids from single parent homes through school.

A huge thank you to Antrim Kitchen Respray for their incredibly generous donation. They reached out wanting to support the fundraiser and get involved, adding this fantastic prize to help raise even more money for our project.

Antrim Kitchen Respray already does amazing work supporting charitable projects in The Gambia, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued generosity and community spirit.

Thank you again to everyone who bought raffle tickets and helped make the fundraiser such a success. Every ticket sold brings us one step closer to completing the Happy Days Laundrette project in The Gambia. ❤️

❤️THANK YOU, BELFAST! 💚

We're delighted to share that our 70ft container has safely arrived in The Gambia and has now been unloaded into a secure storage unit.

This is another exciting milestone as we prepare to fit out HAPPY DAYS Laundrette. Every step brings us closer to opening our doors and making a positive impact in the local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far—we couldn't do it without you. Stay tuned for more updates as the transformation begins! 🇬🇲✨

❤️ What an incredible evening in Harp Bar Belfast. ❤️

After 6 months of fundraising, it was fantastic to bring everyone together to celebrate the amazing people who helped make the Happy Days Laundrette project in The Gambia a reality.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Gambian BBQ, enjoyed the food, supported the raffle, and celebrated everything we’ve achieved together. We raised £412 on the night, but more importantly, we brought together the volunteers, musicians, bar staff, sponsors, and supporters who made this project possible.

A special thank you to our incredible sponsors:

🏡 Antrim Kitchen Resprays for generously donating an amazing £1,000 kitchen respray as our star raffle prize.
🧺 Tommy from Belfast Budget Appliances for his generous donations of fridges and washing machines for the Happy Days Laundrette.

And of course, a massive thank you to the amazing Harp Bar family and everyone who helped prepare, cook, organise, donate, and support the event. Your kindness and generosity have been unbelievable.

Because of your support, families in The Gambia will soon have access to a laundrette, refrigeration facilities, and a project that will continue to fund education for children for years to come.

❤️ What an incredible GAMBIA BBQ in Belfast at Harp. ❤️

I would like to thank everyone in Belfast and across Ireland ❤️ who helped me build Happy Days Laundrette 🧺✨ watch our journey so far since the fundraiser

Because of your support 🙏, people in my hometown in The Gambia 🇬🇲 will no longer have to wash clothes by hand every day. That means more time to work 💼, provide for their families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, and create a better future 🌍✨

Our fridges ❄️🥘 will also help families keep food fresher for longer and reduce waste ♻️

Most importantly, every profit made from Happy Days Laundrette 🧺❤️ will help put more children in The Gambia through school 📚🎓

It was great to have Thomas from Belfast Budget Appliances come down and visit us at The Harp Bar for a well earned pint on bank holiday weekend.

Thomas and his team donated over 20 appliances (fridges and washing machines) to our future ‘happy days laundrette’ that will fund kids to go to school, thank you so much Thomas Bunting ❤️
