Pride season isn't over yet! 🌈

Last week, Lurgan Pride showed what Pride is all about, with a fantastic turnout for the parade and a brilliant family day at the Party in the Park afterwards. Keep an eye out in the photos for our cutest Pride supporter! πŸΎπŸŒˆπŸ“·

Now we're looking ahead to the final two Pride events across NI:

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Pride In Newry, Sat 22 Aug
πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Foyle Pride, Sat 29 Aug

We'd love to see a strong turnout from members across the Newry and Foyle areas. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend as we continue to celebrate diversity, equality and inclusion.

🚨 Get Ready to Stand Up for Our Health Service

NIPSA and our sister unions will protest at Trust Board meetings to oppose cuts to Health & Social Care services.

Together, we can defend the health service we all rely on.

Solidarity with our sisters and brothers in PCS Union ✊

Today, NIPSA Deputy General Secretary Maria Morgan joined PCS members on the picket line as they continue their fight against Sodexo’s redundancies, cuts to working hours and the imposition of multi-task job roles.

πŸ“’ There will be a protest outside Erskine House on Friday 21 August from 12.15pm - 1pm.

We encourage NIPSA members and supporters in and around Chichester Street to come along and show solidarity with these workers, whether during the protest or at any time throughout the rest of this week.

Enough Is Enough – Stop the Cuts to Health and Social Care.

Health and Social Care organisations have been told to find more than 12% savings over the next three years.

After years of efficiencies, NIPSA believes reductions on this scale mean cuts to services and increased pressure on staff.

These are cuts, not efficiencies.

NIPSA is campaigning for fair pay, proper funding and the protection of Health and Social Care services.

NIPSA continues to press for a needs-based budget so that pay and public services are properly funded. Discussions on the Executive budget are ongoing, and while we are almost five months past the date the pay uplift was due, we are not pressing for an immediate offer that is likely to be unacceptable to members.

We will continue engagement on pay-related issues and highlight the impact of the ongoing delay on members.
