This week, we were delighted to welcome from , who delivered a fantastic workshop based on the Lobbyist’s Guide to the Northern Ireland Assembly and Executive.

The session explored:
- The role of committees and what they do
- How plenary sessions and debates work
- Understanding motions and more

It was an informative and engaging workshop, giving us valuable insights into how decisions are made and how people can influence change. We will utilize Andrew's teachings to support our engagement with MLAs, advocating for equitable opportunities.

The Northern Ireland Programme consists of a handbook alongside 3 one hour long comprehensive workshops delving into the political processes of Stormont.

We are looking for 3-5 organisations to participate in a small scale user test of a workshop to help us evaluate and shape our existing training materials.

Really enjoyed this morning’s event and hearing Andrew speak so passionately about lack of legislative protections for accessibility and inclusion in the digital world for disabled people. I have no doubt that this is only the beginning for So inspiring to see a young person pushing and promoting change all while being a voice for so many disabled people.

I will be reading up the on the handbook Andrew created for lobbyists and getting some tips! Much still to be done for but we continue to fight on and push for an equitable future for our young people with disabilities.
