🏀 BNI Playoff League Finals 2026 – Game Schedule Announced!

The Basketball Northern Ireland Playoff League Finals are almost here! Join us at Lisburn Racquets Club on Sunday 22nd March and Sunday 29th March 2026 for two exciting days of basketball featuring junior and senior league finals

From U12s right through to Premier Women and Premier Men, the best teams from across the league will compete for the 2026 titles 🏆

We’re also delighted to host a Special Olympics Ulster exhibition game on Sunday 29th March, celebrating inclusive basketball and showcasing amazing athletes

🏀 Girls Got Game launches in schools across Northern Ireland!

Basketball Northern Ireland has kicked off its Girls Got Game pilot programme with sessions hosted by St Gerard’s School and Malone College, bringing together 2nd year girls to help empower girls in sport

The programme supports the “Be Seen, Be Heard, Belong” campaign from Sport NI, encouraging girls to feel visible, confident, and valued in sport while creating spaces where their voices are heard and they truly feel they belong

With 12 schools across Northern Ireland taking part in the first year of the project, the initiative aims to inspire the next generation of female leaders in sport through basketball, teamwork, and shared experiences

Amazing work by Magherafelt Titans Basketball Club and Newry Basketball Club who joined forces for the yearly Basketball Ireland Socia- Basketball Blitz with teams coming from across the island to play!

These women show strong women build strong teams. Today on International Women’s Day we celebrate every woman and girl changing the game of basketball.🏀✨

Yesterday our senior ladies joined forces for the second year in a row, with the ladies from Newry Basketball Club to create the Flying Titans and take on socia-ball teams from across Ireland.

The true meaning of Social basketball when two clubs can collaborate and take to the court together!
A huge thank you to Basketball Ireland for hosting us on The National Basketball Arena.

Ormeau Park Basketball Courts Refurb 🏀

Great to see progress continuing on plans to refurbish the basketball courts at Ormeau Park 🚧

Our Chair, Kevin Craig, was delighted to meet with Cllr Séamas De Faoite and Cllr Gary McKeown alongside Belfast City Council officers to discuss the next steps. It was a really positive and productive conversation as plans continue to move forward.
Investing in facilities like this is vital for supporting local sport, encouraging participation, and creating opportunities for the next generation of players
