Over the past 8 weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of working with the ArtEZ students - and we just want to say a big thank you.

As always, the students brought so much creativity, care and openness into our groups. They took the time to listen, connect and work alongside participants, and that really showed in the work they created together.

A special thank you to Noa, who worked with our Women’s Group exploring themes of closure and regeneration.

A big shout out to Noa V. and Teuntje for their work with our ‘Our Peace, Our Future’ group, developing a powerful piece that will form part of our EVAWG exhibition.

Many of the students also supported our International Women’s Day event, helping deliver the activism workshop and working with participants to create banners for the march - which made a real difference on the day.

It was also great to meet and work alongside the tutors this year and continue building this partnership. We’re very grateful to have had you with us. Until next time 💛

That was a residential we’ll remember for a long time!

A big thank you to everyone who came along - the Imagine Peace Barriers Cross-Community Women’s Group, the LOCA Men’s Group and Our Peace, Our Future Group.

We visited the Doagh Famine Village and the Peacemaker Museum, and there was so much to take in across both. From learning more about Ireland’s history to reflecting on more recent events, there were plenty of moments that stayed with us.

More than anything, it was the conversations and the different perspectives that made the trip what it was. It’s clear how much people took from it - and just as importantly, how much everyone enjoyed being there together.

A big thank you as well to both venues for having us and for the brilliant tours.

What an incredible day we had celebrating International Women’s Day.

We were delighted to bring together women from across our communities - from Cliftonville, Lower Oldpark and beyond – as well as newcomer and minority ethnic women who joined us to celebrate solidarity, share experiences and show their solidarity.

A huge thank you to our inspiring guest speakers, Amanda Ferguson and , for such an honest and powerful conversation.

We would also like to thank Cliftonville Community Centre for partnering with us to deliver this event, and in particular Gráinne Magee for her continued support and dedication to the community.

A special thank you to Aman, who provided Arabic interpretation and supported everyone to feel included.

Events like this are only possible because of the incredible people behind the scenes. Thank you to the amazing therapists, dancers, arts & crafts facilitators, volunteers and of course, our incredible students and tutors.

Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, talent and energy to make the day so welcoming and uplifting.

We also want to recognise the work of our women’s groups and all the women who joined us on the day. Your voices and your leadership are what make communities stronger.

Finally, thank you to Belfast City Council for supporting this event.

A huge thank you to all the residents and community groups who joined us on our recent trip to Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh. Exploring the stories of migration, heritage, and everyday life together gave us a real opportunity to reflect on our shared history and connect across communities. For us at Imagine Peace Barriers Project, days like this remind us why this work matters so much. Bringing people together through shared experiences helps build understanding, strengthen relationships, and create space for genuine connection. Thank you to everyone who came along!
