Yesterday, Include Youth attended Ulster University's Raising Aspirations event for care-experienced young people at the Magee campus.

Our Belfast Give & Take young people attended alongside Belfast Trust Employability Service and Start360. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for young people to explore future education, career pathways and connect with a range of supportive services.

A big thank you to Ulster University for hosting!

Some fantastic activities taking place with our ForYou young people across Cavan and Monaghan last week ☀️

From photography sessions to walks in the park, it’s been great to see young people getting outdoors, enjoying the good weather, and taking part in activities that support their creativity and wellbeing.

Another busy week with our Tallaght G&T young people 🌟
On Tuesday, Barry and Lucy from Jigsaw delivered a fantastic wellbeing and mental health session focused on “Finding My Why”, with brilliant engagement and participation from everyone involved. Jigsaw

Wednesday saw our young people building employability skills on the farm, feeding and caring for the animals.

We finished the week with an Activate Thursday twist! Young people gave back to the community by helping clean the local kickboxing gym in exchange for using the facilities, before ending the session with pad work and self-defence techniques in the ring. Tallaght Martial Arts

A great week full of learning, teamwork and new experiences 💪

Thanks to BBC Radio Ulster Ulster for hosting such an important conversation with Ulster University about the research we’re currently working on.

It was great to hear from young experts Allyshia and Sé from Springboard Opps sharing their lived experiences of YouthStart and talking about their role in conducting the research through From the Ground Up.

We’re really looking forward to the findings, which explore how youth work creates opportunities for young people to engage with education, employment, and training.

A big shoutout to Nando’s for being such an amazing community partner over the past year 🙌

It’s been great working together, from having the chance to speak at their national conference, to delivering training with your teams. What really stands out is how open and committed you are to supporting young people into employment.

In particular, your willingness to create opportunities for care experienced young people is making a real difference 🩵

Helping build confidence, skills and giving people a genuine chance to get started in work.

We’re so grateful for your commitment, openness and belief in our young people.

Looking forward to continuing the journey together!
