The Open College Network Northern Ireland (OCN NI) is a UK recognised Awarding Organisation based in Northern Ireland. We are regulated by CCEA Regulation to develop and award regulated professional and technical (vocational) qualifications from Entry Level up to and including Level 5 across all sector areas. We are an educational charity and an Awarding Organisation that advances education by dev

eloping nationally recognised qualifications and recognising the achievements of adults and young people. We work with centres such as Further Education Colleges, Private Training Organisations, Voluntary & Community Organisations, Schools, SMEโ€™s and Public Sector bodies to provide learners with opportunities to progress into further learning and/or employment.

Aoife's nomination is a testament to her determination, resilience and hard work throughout her learning journey. While studying her childcare qualification, Aoife also committed herself to improving her Essential Skills, overcoming personal challenges along the way and showing incredible dedication to her studies.

With the OCN 2026 Centre Learning Grants programme now open, this is your chance to turn ideas into impact, support learner initiatives and enrich the learning experience.

Eligible OCN centres can apply for grants ranging from ยฃ500 - ยฃ3,000. The funding is designed to support approaches and projects that allow OCN learners to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Weโ€™re delighted to launch the 2026 OCN Centre Learning Grants Programme, with ยฃ50,000 in funding available to support innovative, learner-focused projects with our recognised centres.

Grants ranging from ยฃ500 - ยฃ3,000 will be awarded to help fund impactful learner initiatives. The programme is designed to encourage innovation, enrich the learning experience, and support learner progression. By funding innovative approaches and initiatives, OCN aims to foster an environment where learners can thrive and achieve their full potential.
