Scouts from Slemish District were delighted to attend the recent Day of Celebration and Achievement at Windsor Castle.

Evan Andrews and Jack Weir from 5th Ballymena (St Columba’s) Scout Group and Jamie Sims, Alexander Calderwood, Dylan Dunlop, Andrew Scott and Stuart Reid from 1st Killymurris Scout Group.

They were delighted to be invited to join in the celebration of their achievement with many others from across the UK by parading to the spectacular Quadrangle at Windsor Castle.

The district was also proud to have one of its Leaders, Emma Weir from 5th Ballymena, selected to be part of the illustrious Colour Party, a team made up of six Scouts bearing the King’s flag, the flag of St George and The Scouts Colour.

Following the review which was led by UK Chief Volunteer Carl Hankinson and included Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and ambassador Tim Peake they attended the National Scout Service in St Georges Chapel.
