Meet the team Mondays:

My name is Claire McIntosh, and I am the Service Manager for Daisy East. I have been with Start360 for 13 years, and I genuinely love the work that I do. I feel very fortunate to work alongside such a dedicated and supportive team within Daisy, and I am grateful for the excellent leadership and guidance I receive from Kathleen.
As a trained counsellor, I have the privilege of supporting young people and their families who are directly affected by substance use. No two days are ever the same, which is one of the things I enjoy most about my role. I particularly value the opportunity to work one-to-one with service users, helping them navigate challenges and support positive change. I also enjoy supporting and developing staff members within the team.
Alongside my role at Start360, I am currently completing my Social Work degree and hope to qualify in October this year. It has been a rewarding journey, and I am looking forward to continuing to build on my experience and skills in supporting individuals, families, and communities.

Ballymena is set to benefit from the new St Patrick’s Community Hub, bringing health, welfare, and police support directly to local tenants. This collaborative space will make it easier for people to access the services they need, when they need them most. On International day of youth, We’re proud to be a nation partner in Synergy — a bold, five-year programme led by Youth Focus North West (YFNW) and powered by £1.5 million from The National Lottery Community Fund.

All made possible by National Lottery players, Synergy will support youth workers and young people across the UK by:

✨ Creating safe, inclusive spaces for young people to share their views
🛠️ Training and supporting youth sector staff
💥 Giving young people real influence over decisions that shape their lives

As a nation partner, we’re excited to help deliver the Lundy Model of Participation, support organisations to listen and act on what young people say, and amplify youth voice across borders.
