Provincial Grand Lodge of Down

Provincial Grand Lodge of Down The Provincial Grand Lodge of Down is the governing body of the 143 Masonic Lodges that exist within the the geographic County of Down. We are not a religion.

Lodges meet in one of the forty three Masonic Halls within the Province that is sub divided into 6 Masonic Districts. Each Lodge is in itself an autonomous body run by its members headed by a Worshipful Master supported by various administrative and other officers. Lodge membership varies enormously from 20 to 100 and the number of meetings which a Lodge holds each year likewise can vary from four

to ten. Freemasonry is intended to offer those who are members the opportunity to make themselves better individuals and demonstrate to others that they are kind, considerate and charitable to those less fortunate than themselves, irrespective of whether they are Freemasons or not. Our beliefs are compatible with all religions which believe in a Supreme Being. Our values are based upon integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness

☘️ Shamrock Masonic Lodge No.354 Kircubbin, are Match Day sponsors of the Portavogie Rangers Football Club.

The Lodge are big on supporting local charities and organisiations in the community.

Showing support opens up conversations about who we are as Masons, showing we are a part of the community and apart from them.

Pictured is Peter Doherty the Team Manger, along with our WM, Rt.W.Bro. James McDowell (Mbappe), V.W.Bro. Simon McKee (Ranaldo) and W. Bro. Jim Irvine (Halland).

Well done Brethren, great show of support for the local team Portavogie Rangers
