Who We Are

As a voluntary not for profit organisation, Newington is governed by a Board of Management consisting of unpaid volunteers. The Board of Management set the strategic objectives and goals of the organisation and ensures that the organisation operates within its own rules and meets all its legal and financial obligations. There are currently 12 members of the Board of Management. The day

to day operation of Newington HA is carried out by 20 members of staff led by the Chief Executive, Anthony Kerr. The Organisation

The organisation is making a unique contribution to some of the most complex societal divisions and, in doing so, setting a new benchmark for how housing associations can support and encourage tenants and communities to get behind the push for a more peaceful society. Newington HA manages over 720 homes in North Belfast and through a formal strategic partnership with Apex Housing Association, we have delivered in excess of 350 additional homes throughout North Belfast within the past six years.

☕ News Women’s Group Newington Housing Coffee Morning (in aid of Macmillan)
A huge thank you to everyone who joined the News Women’s Group coffee Break and helped make it such a warm, welcoming day. It was lovely to catch up, share a few laughs, and—most importantly—come together in aid of Macmillan. Thank you as well to everyone who donated, baked, bought a traybake, or simply popped in to show support. Together we raised £700 for Macmillan—an amazing achievement.
Special thank you

• Newington Housing
• Divines shop Crumlin Road
• Annemarie O Dwyer
• Mark burns
• The Coop Antrim Road

This was an amazing event and the News Women’s Group worked so hard on every detail. Including

• Getting all the Donations
• Bringing along delicious treats and keeping the kettle on
• Helping set up, tidy away, and making everyone feel included
• Sharing ideas, updates, and good conversation
• Getting and organising Ballots and prizes
• Adding to the friendly atmosphere that makes our team such a great one

Thanks again for taking the time - small moments like this make a big difference, especially when they help support the brilliant work Macmillan does. We’re delighted to have raised £700 and truly proud of everyone who contributed. Looking forward to the next event at Midlands for Chest Heart and Stroke so keep an eye on our Page for the next date.
