Celebrating 25 years of Independent Custody Visitors!

On 21 August, NIAAS Scheme Manager Stanley Booth and Scheme Coordinator Carla Hall attended the Northern Ireland Policing Board Volunteer Recognition and Training Event at the Dunsilly Hotel, Antrim.

Stanley delivered an interactive presentation on the support NIAAS provides to detained persons in police custody, while attendees also heard about new initiatives to support neurodiverse individuals in custody settings.

A valuable opportunity to recognise the important work of Independent Custody Visitors and strengthen partnership working across the justice sector.
