📣 From all the staff at Nubia Youth Centre Have a safe and Happy Easter. Enjoy the Easter Break 🐣

🔒 Nubia Youth Centre will be closed on Easter Monday and Easter Tuesday. The youth centre will reopen on Thursday and Friday as normal this week.

📋 New registration forms for 2026/27 will be available for collection from Thursday onwards and must be completed and returned. We required new registration forms to keep all information up to date. New members are welcome. 📣

⭐️Tuesday evening ⭐️

📣 Last night young people from EA
Nubia Youth Centre and EA Charter Youth Centre attended City Hall with the Lord Mayor as part of a monthly project whereby young people take on roles to discuss their views regarding issues and themes relating to their community while learning about the importance of having a voice. The young people learned about electing into roles, responsibilities, and confidence to discuss their views in a fun interactive environment 📣

👏A thank you to the Lord Mayor Tracy Kelly and the staff for hosting an excellent evening. 👏

🎥✨ Safe in the City 2026 ✨🎥

Last Thursday, 180 young people from North, South, East and West Belfast came together for an inspiring day of conversation, creativity and connection.

Throughout the day, young people explored key issues impacting their lives including:
▪️ Coercive control
▪️ Choices & consequences with Fight 2 Thrive
▪️ Create against hate with WheelWorks
▪️ Social media & bullying

The energy in the room was incredible with honest discussions, powerful learning and young people fully engaging with the workshops to learn how they can help keep themselves and their communities safe.

A huge thank you to our partners Belfast PCSP for working alongside EA Youth Service to deliver this important city-wide event, and to all the organisations who supported our marketplace and workshops.

Together, we are empowering young people to build a safer Belfast. 💙

📣Nubia Youth Centre - until the end of March this will be the ages for young people on the designated evenings.
- with regards to 9 years old they cannot stay the full evening they either stay in one group or the other on that evening. (Monday)
- instead of primary groupings- it will be age groups.
- SEN group will operate as normal on Thursday evening.
- At present on a Friday it is the age groups highlighted on that evening.
