Home-Start South and East Belfast Home-Start offers home visiting providing emotional and practical support as appropriate to families with at least one child under age 5.

Parents ask for Home-Start's help for all sorts of reasons:
They may feel isolated in their community, have no family nearby and be struggling to make friends. They may be finding it hard to cope because of their own or a child's physical or mental illness. They may have been hit hard by the death of a loved one. They may be really struggling the with emotional and physical demands of having twins

or triplets - perhaps born into an already large family. Approximately 25% of families referred to us do so themselves recognising that they need some support at this time, others may be referred by health professionals or close friends who understand the benefits gained from having our service. All our home-visiting is done through trained volunteers who themselves have experience of raising children with ongoing supervision and support from the organiser. As an organisation we have service agreements with the Belfast Trust and close working relationships with Sure Start East Belfast and Inner South Belfast SUre Start.
