Twenty years of showing up.

For two decades, SOS Bus NI volunteers have been on Belfast's streets every night they're needed, offering a safe place to anyone frightened, vulnerable or alone.

Every one of those nights happened because someone chose to volunteer.

As we mark 20 years, we're looking for the next people to carry it forward.

Be part of the next chapter.

Seven weeks until we raise a glass to twenty years.

Behind every one of those years: volunteers who gave up their nights, and supporters who made it possible.

The 20th Anniversary Gala Ball is your chance to stand among them, and to put your business behind a service the whole city relies on.

What's it really like to volunteer with SOS Bus NI?

It's giving up a night so someone else is safe.
It's first aid, a cup of tea, a listening ear.
It's standing beside people on their most difficult night and helping them take the next safe step.

Hard to put into words. Easy to be proud of.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to have you on the team.
Full training provided, no previous experience needed.

It looks like a bus.
But to someone frightened, injured or unable to get home safely, it's so much more.
It's a safe place.
A listening ear.
A helping hand.
A way home.
That is what the SOS Bus means to Belfast.
Help keep it there. Support SOS Bus NI through our website.

The city fills up. The night gets busy. And someone has to be there when it turns.

Our volunteers are.
A warm welcome. First aid. A listening ear. A safe place without judgement.

You don't need to be a superhero. You just need to care.
We'll give you the training and the team around you.

A night with SOS Bus NI.
One shift, 22:00 to 03:00, on the streets of Belfast.
10pm. Setting up as the city fills. The bus is in place and the team is ready before the first call comes in.
Through the night, whatever the city brings — first aid, a warm seat, a listening ear, a safe place without judgement.
2am. The quiet, careful hours. Get Home Safe kicks in, one person at a time, back home the right way.
By the end of the shift, nobody is left behind.
And it happens for one reason: people show up.
You can be one of them. See how you can help through our website.
