Hello and welcome to the team 👋🏼

Rebecca will be covering Eve's maternity leave in SUNI's Schools Project -Ballymena, and we are so excited to have her as part of SUNI’s Schools Team! 🫶🏻

Introducing Rebecca McMullan

Rebecca joins the SUNI Staff Team this morning as the Schools Worker for Ballymena.

Rebecca is from Ballymena and has recently graduated from Stranmillis with a degree in Primary Education. She is humbled and excited by the opportunity to serve God and make His Good News known in Ballymena schools this year as she covers Eve’s Maternity Leave.

Please pray for Rebecca as she takes up this new role and gets to grips with all that being a Schools Worker entails!

Please pray for post-primary pupils across Northern Ireland who are receiving their GCSE results today.

Pray that they will remember that God is in control of their future and that their identity and purpose isn't defined by a grade, but instead by the one who created them.

MILLISLE CSSM 😎⛵️

My last SUNI Camps and Missions visit this summer was to the wonderful Millisle CSSM on Wednesday!

What a joy to see these volunteers in full swing - their P1-P3 section in Millisle Baptist Church must take the prize for the best decorated halls I’ve seen this summer! Flourecenent glow in the dark light inspired artwork pointing to Jesus!

P5-P7 section and teens section meanwhile got to enjoy that beautiful seaside view at Millie Presbyterian!

Caleb, Josh and their team have such a heart for that community! It was a joy to see Fraser, an upper sixth pupil from the SU Group in Campbell College who shared with me that he had been serving in SU teams over the past few summers with his friends, but this year he decided to serve in a team where he didn’t know anyone in order to be fully devoted in serving rather than having fun with his friends! And the surprise continued when in a different section I saw Naomi, a past pupil who headed the SU Group in Bloomfield Collegiate School, serving and telling me she has loved being part of this team for the last 3 years! Go SUNI's Schools Project - East Belfast pupils! Love to see your servant hearts!

Do pray for this team, children and young people as they head home after the week they’ve had - may they have time to reflect in all they’ve learnt, rest and reset! 🙏🏼

LOUGHBRICKLAND CONNECT 😎🧩

A joy to head to Banbridge High School today to visit Connect, one of SUNI Camps and Missions in the the developing district of SUNI A1 Schools Project!

Sarah, Paddy and the team are doing an incredible job! It was so encouraging to hear the growth of this mission in recent years and see this team pour their hearts out! Over 140 primary aged children met for a morning and afternoon of Bible fun!

The team then divided themselves and welcomed P5-P7’s again in the evening in Ballydown Presbyterian Church, whilst the other half welcomed post-primary young people for Connect + in Loughbrickland Mission Hall! It was extra special knowing that Connor, a young adult from my home church, has stepped up to lead that Connect + section for the first time - he has been serving on the team for a number of years and is now developing his leadership skills further serving in this capacity!

Let’s keep praying for this team, children and young people as they meet this week - and their family evening on Friday! 🙏🏼

📚 Restart School Sunday

September is a significant time for children, young people and their families as they start or return to school, college or university. For many of us, it's also an opportunity for a fresh start as we seek to be salt and light in the places God has called us.

SU BOYS SPORTS CAMP ⚽️🏉🏏

A fab trip to the North Coast today alongside SUNI’s General Director Damian to visit the wonderful Boys Sports Camp, one of SUNI Camps and Missions! From fun dorm inspections, devotional time with an overview of the Bible, quiet time where campers and leaders spent time with God, football, sports, water activities and a special guest speaker - what an incredible week these guys are having! 🙌🏼 Let’s keep praying for them over the next few days 🙏🏼
