A huge thank you to Andy and Harry who recently celebrated milestone birthdays and chose to mark the occasion in a very special way 🎉

Instead of asking for presents or gifts, they kindly requested donations to Alzheimer's Society from their family and friends. What a wonderful gesture and a fantastic way to celebrate their big birthdays while supporting people affected by dementia 💙

We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and for everyone who contributed. Your support will help us continue providing vital help and services to those living with dementia and their loved ones.

From all of us at Alzheimer's Society, thank you, Andy and Harry, and happy birthday!

A huge thank you to June Kirk for the incredible donation of £7,500 💙

This fantastic sum was raised through June’s inspiring knitted chicks initiative. Motivated by her husband Bobby’s dementia journey, June and her dedicated team of volunteer knitters have shown the true power of community spirit, compassion, and determination.

We are also delighted to congratulate June on being awarded the BEM in the King’s Honours List in recognition of her outstanding service to the Groomsport community. A truly remarkable achievement and a well-deserved honour 🌟

This generous donation will help Alzheimer’s Society continue providing vital support and information to people living with dementia and their families, while funding research and campaigning for change. Well done, June – your efforts are making a real difference!

A huge thank you to Ian Cunningham for organising a fantastic music night featuring a Patches band reunion, which raised an incredible £1,200 for Alzheimer's Society.

The event included live music, a raffle, and plenty of support from the local community. It was great to see so many people from Banbridge come together for a cause that means so much to Ian and his wife Maryellen, who both sadly lost their mothers to dementia.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, donated raffle prizes, bought tickets, and supported the event. Every pound raised will help Alzheimer's Society provide support for people affected by dementia, campaign for change and fund vital research.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support 💙

Pictured is Ian alongside great friends who helped make the evening such a success.
